The wife and I engaged James Private Property (www.jpp.com.au) after researching the internet on available buyer’s advocate services in Melbourne. They have an excellent info on their website. After having a chat with Ian from JPP, we just knew JPP would be great for us. By the way, we’ve just bought our first property through them a couple weeks back.

The wife and i are really glad we used JPP. One reason is because we had no idea what we were doing. Secondly it saved us a lot of time and took the stress out of the process. We also learned heaps from JPP. We were included in the whole process at all time.

Though service fee might be a deterrent to some, I believe we saved much more by letting a proffesional do the job. I was sceptical at first though. Naturally… [biggrin] In the end, we bought a great house that we love, in a great neighbourhood that we want, and at a great price much lower than what we were expecting to pay for. All thanks to the strategy employed by JPP. Believe me, after house hunting for 3 solid months, i am sure of that.

    Regards,
    Eddie

I think that using an advocated is essentional if you are buying intersate or overseas. I am based in Melbourne and have been purchasing properties as far away as New Zealand and the United States

    Hello pkchan76

Have been thinking of using this method myself and wondered whether you would be prepared to disclose approximatly what such a service costs.

Don’t worry if you would rather not. [smiling]

    Cheers
