Assistance to Borrowers Affected by Cyclone Larry

I am in Thailand ATM, so wasn’t aware if this. N QLD has been hit by a cyclone!

Just had an email from a lender that uses ING wholesale funds. ING have announced some hardship relief guidelines including considering the following:

* A loan repayment holiday of up to three months with interest to capitalise to the loan
* They will consider a further deferral of payments up to a maximum of six months where circumstances warrant
* The term of the loan may be increased or repayments recalculated over the existing remaining loan term at the Bank’s discretion
* Any loans in arrears prior to the cyclone will be excluded from this offer

Both insurers are offering up to six months capitalisation of payments to affected borrowers.
