I have a dual occupancy of two townhouse and wish to sell one. These have a common stormwater system with the electricity being paid for by the rear townhouse. I have recently heard it is far cheaper to set up a 99 year lease at a $1 per year than a body corporate. This would be to pay for any repairs to the pumps or pipes. Would anyone know the difference between a 99 year lease and a peppercorn lease. Also what would be a fair thing regarding the electricity, would we offer a cashback of $50 (??) per year. I would appreciate it if anyone has had experience with this situation.
