Several countries in Eastern Europe have now joined the EU. Has anyone any experience of investing in these developing markets ? What markets are reckoned to have the best prospects ?

    leslie,

a few pop up every now and then but are thin on details. I think there simply must be opportunities out there in european markets for those with the right connections and skills. it would be great if you could post a little more about eu countries.

I’ve been investing n Bulgaria. Low property prices, 30%+ growth p.a over the last 3 years and the country is expected to join the EU in 2007. Due diligence is necessary though as there is always the possibility of oversupply, especially in the tourist areas with new developments coming to completion and many new landlords looking for tenants.

    Good luck.
