    This is my first post.

I have a few investment proproties and all are under our own names.

I recently attended the seminar in brisbane and it was mentioned about trusts and companies as a better way to set it up.

Can anyone explain how it works and the costs involved?

Also can anyone recommend a good property accountant?

    Thanks

    Hi lisa.jason12,

Not sure im the right person to get into it but Im sure Cata will solve all your answers in the next few moments.

What i can help with is a good book. Know its not what you really asked for but I had similar questions and a good read helped answer a few of the basics – ‘How to Legally Reduce Your Tax’.. by Melvin & Chan.

The forum pointed it out to me and could hardly put it down. About to go through it a second time. Well spent $30. Won’t give you specific advice obviously and u’ll still need that….but great way to help fill gaps.

    Hi Lisa

How it works will depend on what you have and where you want to go with your investing. It may be better to do this vie e-mail as your personal details will be needed for a good assesment of your situation. This will also allow me to give you a cost of different structures for you.

    E-mail me.

We are in the same boat as lisa.jason12 – need advice on structure and a good property accountant in Sydney

We are about to start some serious property investment and need to set up the correct structure before our next purchase. So far we have 2 IP’s in both our names.

Cata, do you mind if I email you?

    Thanks
