Today i received a letter from my bank that informs me that i have just had $976.28 debited from my account for extra stamp duties and bank fees referring to settlement on the 11th April 2005.

I queried it all with my bank (NAB) and it’s all to do with the different titles and allotments etc and of course that is the way it is but I mean , 9 months after ‘settlement’ . [angry2]

I wonder how common this occurs with other investors.

Also I thought I had paid my solicitor to sort all this out . Actually I just faxed her the statement and letter and we will see what happens. Probably not much.

BTW I already paid $46,691.98 in Stamp duty. Whats another 1000
    between friends [biggrin]

one of my banks did something similar.

Think of the good side, you have had that money in your hands for an extra 8 months!
