Does anyone know a place in Melbourne where I might be able to buy standard “For Sale” or “For Sale By Owner” yard signs?

I know that some of the DIY real estate sales websites offer signs, but I don’t really want something that has someone’s website splattered all over it.

I’m after something generic that I can add my contact details to, and re-use from property to property.

    Cheers,
    Simon

    Try here

Small sign writer would also be the way to go. Also try fsbo on a google search – there are alternatives there.

A signwriter can knock you up one with your number on it for about $50. Less if you buy several.

Rick Otton used to sell them a few years back. Seems he still does (click link).

are we becoming more and more Americanised or what!!!!

when did “private sales” start getting called “for sale by owner”??? I thought that was a US way to describe vendors selling houses privately.

    did I miss something [blink]

    Wooo doggy…y’all sure did honeybunch.

Xenia, I work with and are surrounded by the good Yankee folk 24/7…right from the get go I knew thangs were different for all these southern belles.

Unfortunately, Australian modern society eagerly lap up all of their dross on the mass media and elsewhere. I can assure you, there is truckloads more where all of that came from, and it’s headed your way ‘real quick like – like right now !!’

It’s going to get far worse before it gets better. Get used to it.

He he, I knew my comments were going to erk someone!

I didn’t say I don’t like the US, I actually love them, spent alot of time in the US, but also enjoyed the fact that I was DIFFERENT!

Used to get surrounded by people in supermarkets asking me to speak so that they can hear my Australian accent!

I’m just a fair dinkum proud Aussie and love what we have here!

We have a perfect country here, with perfect weather, yet we want to copy what is going on on the other side of the world!

we put cotton wool on pine trees at christmas to pretend that it’s snow. I have spent many christmases snowed under in Canada, I now appreciate the fact that we have our holidays in SUMMER!!!!

I also like terms that are Aussie specific!

There is nothing wrong with learning from other countries and cultures, everyone has something to offer!

But the grass is always greener HERE [biggrin]

alatet, my appologies for turning this into a cultural debate.

Glad you found what you are looking for.

another suggestion is to ask a real estate agent where they get their signs made up and go and see that company. We have done this before and the result was great. Private sales looking very professional!
