Gday. Just wondering when u buy a house as owner-ocupier and get the home owners grant on your first property. does anybody know how do they inspect your house to make sure its your place of residence?

would they drive past once and while? or check your electricity and water bill?

Yes ‘they’ do check – quite commonly actually.

keep records , such as your electricity bill. Just in case you move and are ever checked up. this will show you were in the home.
