Is there a type of commercial property that I can legally live in and claim the FHOG for?

I only plan to be living there for the duration required unless of course its one of those old deli style places with a house at the back.

I plan to use it to run my business from and hopefully be able to employ people or have other partners working with me. Office workshop for IT services is ideal.

I believe the answer is Yes. I dont know the legals, but I own some office space that I can either lease out commercially or reno into a unit and lease as residential. It would be a bit strange having a dental office as a neighbour, but I am allowed to do it.

I dont know how you find them as this one was just by chance.
