If it is the document number of the certificate of title, then you can get a copy of the mortgage document to find out the original amount lend. (I did this last week in Sydney re an investigation into a family law matter). But it won’t tell you how uch is currently owing and you cannot get that from the lender for privacy reasons. Cost is about $10 and you could probably do it online too.

    Hi Terry,
Thanks your hand on experience, Now i already search the title, and see the MORTGAGE No 7068508xx 01/08/2003 at 10:05,
How and where I could use this number to search the mortgage Document. I tried baycorp, and somet others agency, buy they only provide the service of Company search, Title search not Mortgage Document search.

    Your help is much apprricated

You can get this document from the land titles office directly. Which state are you in?

Why would you waste your time on the loan document????

What if the loan is only 10% LVR. Is this what you will offer?

It is none of your business what the owner of the property owes on their home anyway. It cannot possibly help you in any way.

Your time and money would be better spent comparing prices in the area and offer something reasonable.

I agree with TMA, it may not tell you anything worthwhile.

    Go here:
    https://lpi-online.lpi.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/lpis/menu.pl

And put the number in “dealing Number” and your credit card details and you should get what you are after (depending on how old it is). Cost is $8

I would not let the vendor know you checked out their mortgage. I would tell you where to go if you were buying from me and I found out you went into my personal details.

My thoughts exactly. Knowing anything about a mortgage is not going to help your cause in any way. AND IT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!
