    Hello,

    This is probably a lame question but I just want to know how much it would cost to build a basic 3 bedroom home? Around $100,000?

    I am looking at making an offer on a property in regional NSW. It is in poor condition, and I think the price asked is laughable, when I compare it to the cost of vacant land.

    I am planning on making an offer at the land price only, eg why would anyone buy it when they could get vacant land and build a brand new home?

    Just for reference I would like to know much it costs to build a new home.

    I use these guys to play around with different scenarios in new house construction, like costs, features etc. They have the most basic 3 bedroom houses in the $60k’s.
