I would like feedback on consumer experiences, with building contracts. I have signed to a HIA contract believing that I was signing to some stability of terms only to find that before getting to a building permit, the builder National Builders Group Vic is already claiming an exceptional expense of $35,000 because they did not do their checks and overlooked a council flood level law.I believed that I had been quoted all site costs inclusive, and this was confirmmed by the saleman. To contact HIA it costs the consumer $2.50/minute by phone, yes $150 per hour to ask them about a contract that you have already paid for?
