Kerri, not many of us like to publicly annouce who has the best of each product. The problem with doing this is that many people reading these forums think they can do it themselves and take the information and go direct. They then come back to a broker when things are in a mess. The greatest value in using a broker is not finding the best product but rather what they do for you when things get messy.

its sort of like asking …

‘whos got the best mortgage manager?’

is there any difference between packaged up Adelaide Bank, ING Bank, Macquarie Bank, Origin, Liberty etc from one manager to the next?

    cheers

I reread my above post and realise it came accross as a bit flippant. I get asked this a lot.

It is like asking which is the best car?

It all depends on your needs. It is quite a competitive area and most of the packages are very similar.

    Heh Robert

Do you really mean that there are people out there who get you to do all of of the work then go off and approach the lender themselves direct.

When it all goes pear shaped come and balame you and give you 48 hours to sort out there mess. When you can’t perform the miracle in time blame the mortgage broker industry and tell their friends don’t deal with that guy.

And i thought it was just wrappers who had to put up with that.

    Cheers Richard

No Richard. I have NEVER seen that happen!!!

Thank the lord I have made the decision to not actually write loans anymore. The closest I will come is providing advice and referring the business to local brokers.
