I know that no advertising is allowed on this forum, so I was wondering how one could go about finding a buyer for a property online?
Are there any sites I can go to to list my property, or any forums where there are buyers looking for CF+ properties?
My husband and I would really like to quickly sell one of our properties but are very reluctant to pay the huge fees asked by REAs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
(ps – I hope this post doesn’t constitute advertising and that I am within the guidlines of this forum in posting the above)

You can try http://www.diyhomesell.com.au and/or http://www.privatelisting.com.au to start with. Also do a search on this forum under “private sale” for some tips.

You might find that a good REA will get a better price than you could yourself that will cover his/her own commission. The trick is to find a good one. You can also sign on an agent as “sole agency”, this means you can still sell it yourself without having to pay the REA.

    Hi Bonnie

I’m selling my house privately at the moment. I chose to go through Anreps http://www.anreps.com.au. I bought the economy package off them that gives you signage, web listing, all the paperwork needed & a file on how to sell a house privately. It’s worth a look.

    Cheers

    Hi Bonnie,

May I ask why you are selling a CF+ property?

I’m always interested in looking at properties either for myslef or for my network of friends looking for investments.

Thanks so much for your help everyone. I will give some of those websites a try.
Does anyone know if those websites are widely used by purchasers?

I am using owner.com.au They are free, and offer smart looking for sale signs etc at cheap prices. I have found I am getting more foot traffic through from the for sale sign out front, than from websites i am listed on..good luck
