I am serious about investing in NZ and would like to set up structure in place before making offers. My aim is to look for properties (below 50K) that yields +ve casflow after all expenses (preferably yielding >5% CoCR). Which structure would be the best (LAQC or trust) and can somebody recommend a reliable accountant over there that can set up correct structure for me?

    thanks

    John,

If you’re considering using any sort of foreign entity, I’d recommend seeking advice from an Australian lawyer or accountant who has experience with foreign investment, as there are special tax rules regarding controlled foreign companies and trusts.

    Cheers,
