i am close to settling on a property in queenstown, tas. in the midst of insuring the property, i am finding that the replacement estimates are way out (i.e. one insurer estimated at $590000!!!!) Surely this can’t be right?? i am only after specific advice so anyone that owns ppty in queenstown (or west coast), i would greatly appreciate your thoughts on this. what replacement value was used? pm ok.

Well you certainly can’t replace for what you pay in Q’town. Can’t give you any recommendations for insurance in that town sorry.

Others who have purchased in similar towns have had difficulty getting PM’s – how have you gone – or are you local?

May I ask what prompted you to purchase in this location?
