I live in Qt,Nz and i’m married to a girl from the gold coast.although our business interests are here and enjoy a good snowy winter, we would like to spend a couple of months over xmas near family on the GC every yr.I was thinking of buying a place we could rent out for 9 or 10 months either as longterm or holiday rentals.As we have lots of furniture in storage over there we could have the place nicely furnished for holiday renting and just have a room or cubboard to be locked up with our personal gear.Has anyone had experience in doing this?

Out of interest I took our family sking in September to Queenstown for the first time, and being from Canada originally, we absolutely loved it, and will be back next year.
