    To qualify for the FHOG, I know you have to live in a property for six months within the first 12. But I know lenders will allow at least part of the grant to go towards the deposit…

    So – does it take 6 months before people receive it, or do they receive it at or soon after purchase?

    You would get it at settlement if processed thru a lender. If on your own, it would be just after usually.
