    Hi

Does anyone know if there is a listing of the owners of a Victorian property? I know the property address but would like to contact the owner directly.

    Thanks in advance, Jeremy

You can find out their name by doing a title search for about $10 online. Once you know their name, it still may be hard to find them though. I htink councils would be reluctant to give out that info. When I was in the police, they would give the owners postal addresses to us over the phone, but some councils were reluctant.

    Hi Terry

    Thanks for all the help!

Where do I perform the $10 title search exactly? Is it done online or do I need to go to the council offices?

    Cheers, Jeremy

I was in the same situation once and I just rang the shire. They were very help full and gave us all names addresses and even phone numbers. They did not charge anything for it.

When I then rang one of the numbers the person who answered was very upset that the shire gave me the addresses and numbers.

Needless to say they did not want to sell even if the house is empty since two years. What a waste.
