    Hi All,
I have just bought an IP and I would like a recommendation of which insurance company I should go with to get landlord insurance.
    Thanks,
    Twilight

    Hi Twilight,

I have only just started using them on my recent ones, so I can’t judge too much as I haven’t claimed, but if you do a search on “insurance” you will probably find that the most popular company is CGU for landlords policy. Price wise, they definitely beat my previous company that I’d been using….

    Good luck,

    Del

I like Terri Scheer insurance. Their prices are very reasonable.

    Twilight,
For years I’ve been with CGU insurance. They have changed ownership recently. I don’t know if they’re any good. Never made a claim. Until you make a claim you can’t tell the good, bad or ugly insurance companies.

I have always been with CGU, the PM should make some suggestions to you as well.

AON insurance is another good one. I have found them to be really good when making a claim.

    Hello Twilight ,
I’m with EBM and have had a couple of claims
settled with them over the last 5 years.
    They’ve been very good.
That insurance has definitely saved me in those situations.
Also CGU were great when I had a claim done thru strata recently.
    Cheers,
    MLV

    ….oops , correction .
I meant CHU,not CGU! An entirely different mob .
Strata Insurers not my insurer but they settled direct to me in a claim recently . I was surprised how lovely they were . Ciao ,M

I’ve got polices with EBM (that’s Rentcover, mentioned above) and also with CommInsure. Both do quotes online so I usually compare prices etc first and then buy.
