    Hi all,

I recently signed a 3 month contract with a sale agent to sell my house. Things have changed recently (came into a small inheritance). Can i get out of this contract without any damages??

    Please advise.

    Lee,

It should be just as easy as ringing them up and tell ing them that you have decided not to sell your home. They can not sell you home if you do not want to sell it. [biggrin]
The only fees you may come accross are for advertising that may have already been published.
Besides that you should have no problems.

    I agree with Blondie.

The only complication would be if you decided to list it again within this 3 month period with another agent. If it sold with the other agent in this time, and your first agency has not granted termination of the contract, you would be liable to pay 2 lots of commission.

Depending what the original deal was with the agent will depend if you have to pay them for advetising costs. I think this is fair enough though.
