    Hi All,

What is a reasonable percentage rate for maintenance allowance and is the percentage of the net income or gross income or something else altogether.

This is for a block of 4 flats that are a little run down.

    Thanks in advance[biggrin]

    True,

But I have heard bandied about something like 2% or 2.5% of the income?

Anyone else heard of something like this.

I dont know – but thats what the tax commisssioner reckons it should be. Hence the building allowance thats deductible.

I dont worry about it in my calcs. I just borrow more if any new maintenance needs to be done. I dont let it effect my bottom line.
