I have been recently enthralled by michael Gerbers book “the e-myth”. (which was a kind gift from a forum member I have never met. Starts with Wa and ends with llflower.) Anyways, the book describes the difference between focusing on the smallest details of a craftsmans art (workers end of the whole system) compared to the entrepreneurs focus on the entire system by focusing on the simplest goal or primary aim.

I have been recently caught up with all the fine details of investing and found myself completely frustrated. This read has (combined with some bacardi rum on this wee saturday night) put the big pic back in perspective. And I am trying to simplify the goal of investing which is a step i believe towards a life goal.

Can you define what is your life goal (in one sentence).?

Remember grammar kids, one idea only per sentence!!!!!!!!!!

    ha.

    SIMPLY out:

Financial Freedom for myself and my family, to repay my parents for all they gave, but did not have, to give them FREEDOM, and to never ‘not have’. [thumbsup2]

    To have NO REGRETS.

The ability to look back without saying “If only…”

Regrets can be as loud as gunshots to the ear and to the soul; trust me, I know!!!

This my 1000th post, and throughout my journey here I have been both criticised and applauded for my comments, which have been at times, brutally honest, with a splash of bluntness, arrogance and a hint of sarcasm thrown in for good measure. But at the end of the day………..

    I REGRET NONE OF IT!!!

    Cheers,

    Jo

To not have the need to work anymore in order to travel the world and see God’s wonderful creation and to live in peace and serenity – living in the world and going to work defies this.

Good Q LifeX. Our ultimate goal is to have the choice to do whatever we want, whenever we want without a JOB (Just Over Broke) or money constraints to limit us – Financial freedom.

    cheers[thumbsupanim]

i know what i want to do.
does anyone remember last year just before christmas, the smith family were closing their doors for christmas because they didnt have enough food and toys for the unfortunate. 5 minutes before they walked out the door a woolies truck turned up (a semi trailer if i remember correctly) full of food. then who ever donated it, didnt want to be known.
thats the type of thing i’d like to be able to do.
    cheers

My life goal is – ‘to fulfil all that God wants me to be and more!’ and also ‘to be able to give freely of myself, my money and my time to others’
