Hi there are there many perth investors in this forum.
If so what type of properties are you buying for positive gearing.
I have found several in rural crappy areas such as meekethara, mount magnet that give good returns.
Or are you better off not going so rural and investing in industrial investments in metro area that can return 10%???
Please give me information on any rural areas that you have recently invested in.

Try closer but don’t rely on properties being listed on the net. Often you need to drive through the towns and check out the agent windows or if you feel closer towns have industry etc to help them survive then ring the agents in that town and ask for listing of what’s for sale and what it would rent for.
Be careful of ones that say “Owner will rent back” as sometimes they inflat the price of the house to include the rent they will then pay you back and then when they leav eyou may find the rent they were paying is also inflated compared to the actual going rate in the area, so check it our carefully.

Watch Mt Magnet. Apart from the fact that Harmony may not be operating there within a few years, most of the miners are now fly in/fly out.
Crime is a problem and there are some very dodgy areas that you would not touch.
