    Hi all,

I have pasted a link that gives student population details for all schools in WA that you may find of use when researching parts of WA.

    http://www.eddept.wa.edu.au/schoolinfo/estat/Latest/DISTSECG.html

I am sure that other state education departments offer a similar statistical servide via the net.

A little bit of backward tracking will help you determine what the town/shore/city/locality is doign in terms of student numbers.

    Thanks Derek,

Interesting tactic. Hadn’t thought of using school stats, yet, their census’ are done twice a year, so much more up to date than a general population census.

    Derek,

Good tip – we use this figure alongside others in our research process as well :)

Plus we call or visit local schools & ask about their enrolment levels. They tell you pretty quickly the type of people moving into or out of an area.

    Cheers,

    Aceyducey
