I have had a property for1 18 months and need to renew the tenancy contract. Can’t remember where I got the form from the first time. Live in Melbourne. Anyone know??

not sure if there is one on this site – you can do a search for it….but for something like that, I would ultimately go to my solicitor.

    Hi Dougie,

I’ve just started to manage my IP myself and got the Residential Tenancy Agreement from the Real Estate Institute office in that state. They charge a fee of $20.

    Hi Dougie
Why don’t you go to an estate agent
pretent you want to rent a property and ask them
to give you a form so you can read all the
    fine print at home???

I bought them from the newsagent in packs of 10 I think (it was a while ago). That is in NSW though, it may not be the same in Mexico.

I’m from QLD and we have a website that you can download things like that from at http://www.rta.qld.gov.au

Not sure if you can use these in other states, but it may be somewhere to start. I’ve noticed that NSW has a similar site.

    Did I pay unnecessarily??? [eh]

The front cover states that if it is not the original document (ie. numbered and in colour) then it may not constitute a legal document.

    [hmm]

You can download all the forms you need from the Consumer Affairs Vic website
