We have some investment properties on the Gold Coast which have made great gains but they are negatively geared. I am wanting to sell some of the properties so we can have a wage coming in. But whhich ones I am not sure. Is it better to keep houses or units? One unit is on the Broadwater at Labrador which if we sold would almost pay off a couple of houses. So what do you think?

    Majic,
Whilst not knowing the specific properties you own, as a general principle, I would seek to retain the property with the greatest land component ie houses.

Over time, they will grow the greatest, in my opinion.
