    Dear All,

Just wondering who will be retiring in 2 years time?

I know that Westan already retired. Good on you Westan! I will be looking for you when I am ready to purchase in NZL.

    Warm Regards

I thought the government was trying to change things so you never retired – just dropped dead on the job!

    grrrrr…..

    thats really bad to hear….

i just took a life Life Expectancy Test (dont take it too serious though,) says im going to live to 88… so i guess that means i got alot of working years ahead of me, dam improved medication and medical science… means i have to work longer and harder….

…. and what happens if i dont make it to my superannuation, when i can benefit….. grrrrr ….. not good at all…. [:(]

    Cheers,
    sis

you have to do it. i need more people to hang around with.[:)] most of the guys i’ve met in NZ are working, so i have to stay at home with the forum as company. i could hang out with the kinder mums but my wife wouldn’t see that as a good use of my time.[B)]
Actually i’m still busy but its great to have time to hang out with people like Property Guru when he visited last week.

The problem with the word “retirement” is that it conjures up images of grey haired men and women shuffling along on the bowling green…..
My hubby and I are no longer in “paid” employment, but with everything going on in our family’s life, retirement is not a word I would choose! [:D]

    Keep smiling
    Felicity 8-)

PS Crikey, just worked out I’m expected to live to 91!
Better go and check hubby’s life expectancy…

I dream of retiring – but I think if I stopped I would drop dead from boredom. My ideal is to pay off the home loan (five year plan) and then trot about the globe doing aid work – with a pad to come back to and somewhere for the dogs to live while I am away!!!!
Life’s tough, but I hope to live it a little longer!!![:p]

    PG,
    20 years is too long.

    Shushar,
    I would think so, but….

    Sis,
I just did the test and I am going to live until 115 years old. That’s way pass the year 3000.

    Warm Regards

Spoke to the In-laws about retirement villages etc, just a converstaion in general, then they brought up the active retirement villages ( for those 45yrs+ ), you get to go on excursions, *ton’s* of activities at the village, pools, recreation room’s, internet cafe, bus trip’s to the casino and movies, and “heaps” of discounts everywhere they go..

Geee… wonder if they give you a discount for booking in early [:p]
    I’m up for it !!

seriously, retirement, you just ‘know’ most of us at best will only ever semi-retire..we’re having too much fun.. you’ll still be searching for deals at the retirement village.

before i commit myself any further to a shorter life, what is the secret Chan$ for long life protivity???

Smoke and drink alcohol more often, 2/3 in your fridge should be alcohol. Smoke at home, but don’t open window.
