    ok

the aussie s had another fine result in the cricket even the umpires couldn’t help the Sri Lankans this time. Top effort by Kasp. (how do you spell it) 5 wickets and Gilly 6 behind the stumps.[^]

    thats the series to Australia.

Now as custodian of the scoreboard NZ v Oz i will work it out later

Rugbyman the Clutha River has about the same waterflow as the nile. yet it is only 250m wide.

    regards westan

Another great victory for the Kiwi’s in a reduced over one day game. Once again the Kiwi’s set up a win only to nearly blow it thanks to some average bowling and big hitting by the South Africans. the kiwis just got over the line. This makes history here in NZ it’s the first time the Kiwi’s have ever won a cricket series.[:D]
Well actually the first time they have won a limited over cricket series against the South Africans.[;)]

well done beating the south Africans is something to be proud of. i think New Zealand can rightfully hold its head up high as a member of the top 4 cricket nations.

You have got to laugh when the ONLY Kiwi team to win on the weekend in Super 12 was one that was playing another Kiwi team. I would have been ROFLMAO if it had been a draw between Crusaders and Blues!!!!

    Hey Muppet, what gives?

Also Gavin Coles (an Aussie) won the New Zealand PGA tournament yesterday, with two other Aussies a stroke behind.

Westan, can your calculator add up that many points for the Aussies?

Muppet, roll on week 3 of Super 12.

Did I forget to mention that ALL AUSSIE TEAMS WON THIS WEEK.

    (even though QLD shouldn’t have)

    Hi Rugbyfan

As I said earlier, there are 11 games to play before the finals AND we have only just finished the first two weeks.

I know that two Aussie teams are leading the comp BUT as I also said earlier the NZ teams have the player depth which the Aussie teams don’t have.

I KNOW that the NZ teams did poorly at the weekend BUT the Blues are back as favourites, in NZ anyway.

Let us wait until round eight before we think about who may make the final four.

My first pick will be: The Blues, Crusaders, Highlanders and maybe an Aussie team.

My second choosing would be: The Blues, Brumbies, Crusaders and a SA team.

Roll on March 29 when we will have a much better idea of who may make the final four.

Now the golf. An Aussie had to win that as about 600 Aussies were playing. Odds on that one had to win.

Thanks Westan for the big rap for the cricketers beating the SAs.
I wonder about the five day version though.

    Regards

    ICC One-Day International Championship Table
    [ as at 29th February 2004 ]

    Team Rating
    1 Australia 135
    2 South Africa 114
    3 Sri Lanka 109
    4 New Zealand 108
    5 Pakistan 107
    6 England 106
    7 India 105
    8 West Indies 100
    9 Zimbabwe 66
    10 Kenya 28
    11 Bangladesh 0

If the Aussies hadn’t played their second stringers against the Sris in the last game, the Kiwis would be third! However, if they beat the South Africans ([:)]) in the last game they will be equal third. Not a bad jump from 7th!!

I tipped all 6 games in the footy tipping! yay for me. Only second win in three years!

    Cheers
    Mel

Yep Chan, the second most visited page at the moment in Forum Frolic next to Aussierogue’s Riddle AND it is just into the third month of the year. Even you have posted 5 times.

At this rate it should clock up about 3500 viewings by the year’s end.

Not bad for Sportstalk in a Property Forum.
