Fat lot of good electricity has done to the North Island. Hell, 2 years ago the people of Auckland didn’t know how to use the newfangled stuff and consequently had a black out. I guess they all had candles and gas lanterns left over from previous years though[}:)]

    Rugby
i live in Balclutha, a town on the Mighty Clutha river the biggest river in NZ and bigger than any i’ve seen in OZ 600+ cubic meters of water a second. Anyway we are on water restriction on our gardens because the towns pump isn’t good enough to deal with demand. So in summer we have water restriction and winter electricity restrictions.[8]

Muppet more points for the Mighty Kiwi’s.

    hi rugby

thanks for the link i’ve just spent 30 minutes searching this topic. That link says it was the highest flow not the usual flow.the clutha’s peak was about 6,000 still short of the ords. the clutha does about 4,000 every 10 years.
when will they give river flows the recognition it deserves and start its own thread.
    bye westn

    Hi Guys

Yeah too bad it wasn’t Australia. The NZers had already given the Aussies a hiding in pool play

Too bad about the NZ ladies Cricket team. Beaten by the Aussies again.

i’ll work it out tonight. I’ve got more important things to discuss, like river flow.
My brother who has seen the ord river says cars were driving through it !!!!
not the mighty river i had imagined, the Mighty CLUTHA RIVER is flowing strong all the time !
back to sport now will work it out later .

    regards westan

Shouldn’t it count that the Aussies won the Shield in the rugby? [:)] We at least emerged with a trophy, unlike the Kiwis….

    What shield Mel?

After the World Cup the All Blacks got a new coach.

Hey the Black Caps screwed the South Africans last night by 5 wkts with about 5 overs to go. Very unusual.

I was watching that until about 7pm and missed the end. Good on the K1W1’s for sticking it to the Sith Ifricans.

I love it when they lose!

This one Muppet – from Rugby’s link.

First-time host the United States beat Kenya 29-22 in the Bowl final, Australia won the Shield 33-31 when Kenya missed a last-second conversion, and England beat Canada 55-0 in the Plate final.

I too love it when South Africa loses [:)] Go the Kiwis.

    I can’t beleive I just said that!

    Cheers

PG, you gotta be careful. I see there’s now a ‘futurepropertyguru’ posting.

    Maybe he’s after your title?

Westan, you better watch out – you live there now, and are certainly in the ball park to catch Kiwitis and a penchant for sheep. Keep one eye open at all times!!!!
Cheers (big smile – after all I am half Kiwi too!!!!!)
