caveat emptor. in bank loans too.

either he will educate himself, or he wouldn’t hear what you (a non-bank employee and therefore non-expert) had to say.

Why do companies offer you “free gifts?” Since when has a gift NOT been free?

    Hi Guys,

Not sure if you all know what Caveat Emptor means. Its just a saying refering to “Let the Buyer Beaware”

    Cheers,
    sis

People 4get that by saving just $3 a day & investing it sensibly
over a working life, you’ll end up with around $1 million

    Hi Folks

I was in the bank yesterday, whilst waiting in the queue I could overhear an employee explaining homeloans to a young man (very cute too[:X]) he was obviously very confused and green about property or finance.

She was telling him typical stuff and then tried to suggest he buy bank shares to get a discount on the interest rate after telling him the interest rate isn’t really important.

I just wanted to say “go to PI.com” or “why don’t you tell him about the professional package” etc. [8]

    But said nothing.[:(]

    Would you have said anything?

    Cheers

Hope she was licenced to give financial advice!!!! Having worked for a bank in the past we could never recommend a particular share (including our own) or there would be all sorts of trouble. [:I]

    Hi Leigh,

    Aren’t you married [8]?

Nah, unless I felt really compelled I’d have shaken my head but not said anything.

    Cheers,

    Steve McKnight
