In the book “Ordinary Millionaires” by Jim McKnight… Page 76:

    quote:

I still visit him from time-to-time and f*** him for old time’s sake

    and then the next page:

    quote:

    …to give him a bit of a rest between f***s, he…

I put those asterisks in myself; those lines are spelled out in full in the book. The rest of the book is graphic in other ways too. Ofcourse there is no warning of this content anywhere on the cover or intro.

Anyway, I just wanted to say how disgusted I am at this… Porn and violent texts are fine in the right context, but in a book about real estate? I would have liked a little bit of warning.

The author was trying to convey what type of
person that he was writing about. The book
is about “ordinary” people, all of different
persuasions, making a living from property
    investment.

I thought the book was great, if only I could
    find my copy….

I have read the book, and will agree that I was quite surprised that at least the words were not asterisked.

I guess the author (editor) left them in there because the story was being told by the individual in their own words.

i too read the book, and enjoyed it, finding it motivational, the Author i believe is a Psychology Lecturer, agrree with melbear and ajwans, the words were probally left in there for reasons such as ‘effect’ and to convey the ordinary people message, we’re all different..[;)]

It was motivational seeing how ‘ordinary people’ set about achieving ‘extraordinary results’

    Hi,

Seems unnecessary IMHO. Surely the same affect could have been gained from more subtle means.

    Cheers,

I thought it was unncessary too, and to be honest it actually gave me a very poor opinion of the investor in question. She seemed incredibly callous, using her ex that way and being so flippant about it.
But maybe that was just my interpretation.
