Can I claim a house I rent out for $400/week my PPOR if its the only property I own and I rent a 1 bedroom unit to live. I assume I am not liable for land tax ?

mcollins, I think that depends on whether or not you ever did live in the house. I would check it out with either an accountant, or the ATO.

    Cheers

    mconllins,
Did you ever live in the property before you rented it out? If you did, and you do not claim any other property as your Primary Residence at the momoent then you might be able to claim your house as your PR up to 6 years.
