I think that’s a bit like saying only friend of the contestants on big brother watch and vote. Those guys must have a LOT of friends!! I haven’t seen the ratings for Idol, but I would suggest for them to drag it out so much they are good.

He is in a different class than the other two, and last night proved it once again.
The judge’s can see it, the studio audience obviously see it, every one I speak to see’s it, yet he almost got ousted last week.
Cossima’s phone bill must be huge. How else is she still on the show?
Idol is not a talent contest. It is a popularity contest. This is why it lacks credibility.

From the snippets I’ve seen, Guy seems to have oodles of talent. The other 2 have good voices, and Paulini was a diamond in the rough.
Guy, however may not have the ‘look’ the public wants, but the man sure knows how to work the music. He also seems like a nice person.

Last night was the first time I had watched for more than 10 seconds – I was at my folks holiday house, so had control over the TV[
][]. Cosima’s voice was certainly very, shall we say, sick sounding? I think her throat must have taken a beating or something.I didn’t hear Shannon singing One until the final bit at the end, but I really didn’t like his version. The judges all heaped praise on Guy, and the long haired guy (Dicko?) I think just flat out told Shannon that he can’t sing the low notes, and shouldn’t go there. They obviously know that what they say has no real bearing on the votes either, from what they were saying. I thought Guy had a great voice, but (and I know lots disagree) I don’t really like his hair! Hope he wins though.

it wasn’t even clear whether shannon would have been the second place anyway (with votes) or whether he only got in because Cosima pulled out.anyway…..I wish it had been down to paulini and guy, that would have been an amazing concert!!

bye westanwestan…..alas I have missed alot of TV lately!! What I meant was the way she stayed in the comp even though she wasnt handling it. I bet paulini or (lol I cant think of the others names!!) would have liked to stay longer and got that chance.
Ive heard the producers made her wait till the show to quit, so they wouldnt lose the extra weeks in Aust Idol hype……but now they have to refund all the votes people put in LOLkeep your phone bills people!! hahaha [
