    if it is your first property I would have to say no. It is not a good idea to buy anything negative unless you can subsedising it with another property. If you still want to buy it eventhough it is negatively geared, I would only buy it in a rising market so you reap the cashflow losses through the capital gains in the very near future not in 5 or 9 years.
