]Here in melbourne, there is plenty of competition for investment/trading courses. Everyday I open the paper; promises of millions next week trading options….my father thinks I rob banks….etc.
People won’t go for courses in a big way until the market tops again IMO.

Just a point on newspaper advertising.
It generally takes several weeks of consistant advertising to get any sort of a decent response.
A very expensive medium.

May I ask what this sort of advert cost you?
You will probably get more leads thru the week. I lot of people cut these adds out and enquire later on.

smh charge like wounded bulls, there was a huge charge for everything. all up $1500 for that. Only sold 2 courses from it, so Im down $900 at this stage. wayne is right in that a lot of people dont respond right away. the one I did in Brisbane Courier last week had no replies till tues, then sold 4. That ad was the same size but costed only $630.
I also did a mimimum size ad in the courier mail months ago, costed $245 and got 45 responses, goes to show ad size means little. looks like I will do small ad in the age next and see how it goes.cheers

Just advice get proper domain name for your website and host it by paying or host some place where they don’t show any ad on the website (I know couple of websites if you want any help).
If you just get full domain name and host it free on ad free website it will cost you $9 US per year which is not much and if you want to host by paying that also won’t cost you much money.

if you are going to advertise in Melbourne (as you said earlier) then look at the Wednesday edition of the Age or Monday’s Herald Sun. Both these are “money” inserts. If you want to see a copy of each i’ll post this weeks to you.
