I’m new to the property investment game and want to start off by purchasing a positively geared property close to where I can get to it if needed. I live in Sydney and am thinking of all surrounding areas. Does anyone want to share their thoughts on where they think is a good regional area outside of Sydney? I can see from the other postings that a lot of people are very secretive about their “findings”, but some hints would be a great start.
    Thanks, Ben

From what I’ve seen, +ve cashflow properties are at least 2 hours outside of Sydney. My partner and I found a lead near wagga wagga.

Even tho I was in the area last weekend, I ended up chasing another lead down near Albury. Found a few that are near break even, looking at ways of increasing the rent at this stage or wrapping it.

    Hope this helps :)

You could make them positive cashflow by wrapping or lease option etc. Worksin Sydney too.

You can also do creative things like add a bedroom etc, and some people have done this in Sydney and turned the property into positive cashlfow.
