I’m looking at a country town in NSW called Young which seems to have a larger than average crime rate when compared to the rest of NSW. Is it risky to invest there or shouldn’t the crime rate affect my invetment decision? Thanks!!

Young does have its problems – mainly kids on the st at night being hoons and damaging property. Do your research very carefully, before you buy talk to the neighbours and screen the tenants very carefully, check out where the housing commission or missons are in proximity to where you buy. But all this said every town has its problems, and nice streets with great people living in them. HG
