    Hello all,
I am new to the forum and investing. My question is what does it mean when you see advertised:

    Commercial business for sale:

    $78,000 plus SAV

What does the SAV stand for? Thanks in advance for any help.

Sounds like it’s the business that’s advertised for sale as stock is normally sold in conjunction with the business.

Cannot see why someone will sell a property with stock unless its a crop or tree plantation.

Often when a business is sold there is a price for the business and SAV refers to the price of the stock held at settlement.

An example would be a retail shop where the stock may be worth a considerable amount.
