    Hi everyone,

I have had a couple of comments from client’s recently that have found out that they have been charged the wrong interest rate. Not all lenders set out the interest rate on their statements so it’s not always obviously. Plus not many people check it after settlement.

There is a website that sells a statement checker for $99. (see http://www.statementchecker.com)

However, I have developed my own spreadsheet that will recalculate the interest charged on your home loan. It’s pretty basic but it does the job.

I have tested it but I would love to have 5 volunteers to test it out for me. I’m reasonably confident that it works but I just need some feedback as to the useability (i.e. is it easy to use).

So if you are willing to give it a try could you please email me at [DON’T WORRY I HAVE ENOUGH TESTERS NOW] I only need 5 people at this stage. Once I’m happy with it I’ll put it on my website for all to use.

    Thanks.

    Cheers

    Stu

Come on guys… I’ve only got 3 people so far.

Is this something people would be interested in doing? Would you guys spend 5 minutes checking your statement now and then or is it a bit too bean counterish?

    Cheers

I would love to test this for you.. I have a feeling that the banks have been screwing us around for quite a while…
