Hi, I was wondering what are the best availble
mobile phone call rates, for heavy users who have to
MAKE a lot of call (say for Business
and to check IP’s etc.) Best rates, lowest
possible monthly commitment. Contract or Prepaid
both I don’t mind. Has to work and be availble
    in AUS though. Cheers.

    Hi Sach,

although not strictly speaking on the forum topic, I have just purchased a ‘3’ phone. I base my mobile phone purchases purely on the value of the plan, never the phone. Subsequently I don’t utilise its multimedia capabilities which are very costly.

If you are *very* disciplined then this phone plan will work for you as they have a $99.00/month bill cap – you could almost do away with your home phone!

    Also, check out http://www.phonechoice.com.au

    Kind regards

    Marco

Thanks Marco, yeah at the moment i am with
Virgin Mobile (Pre paid) and they have good
rates plus they give away free credits. I
paid only $29 for the SIM and already got
extra $75 in call credit within 4 weeks of
signing on. They have special promotions.
I was just wondering if there are better
    deals out there for mobiles.

    Hi Sach,
Ummmm…I always stick with the big T coz they are usually the ones who have the best coverage. Also as your bill goes up, the tarrif goes down. Even though they may seem expensive to start with, I have found them to be the most reliable through the remoter areas. (More in WA than the Eastern States).

Anyway, that has been my experience, a good one, bad with all the other networks….
    Cheers.
    Steph.

Here for a good time not a long time, just do it!.

Just as an addendum to this message, before you go with 3 (www.three.com.au)make sure you understand the way their billing works. For instance you pay for voicemail and it’s not included in your call cap. Just got myself a vodaphone prepaid which has free voicemail but don’t use it make calls. Subsequently I only give people my vodaphone number… a bit of a juggle at times but it works for me :)

    regards

    I’m with Southern Cross Telco
    no contracts
    no monthly fees
    no connection fee

Can buy phone off them for about $300 or $30 per month

Then, you just pay for your calls

Rates are 20cents per 30 seconds anytime day or night

    This is a business phone
