I’ve been addicted to this site for over a month now, just can’t get enough. It’s great to find out everone’s work.My husband and I manage a motel so I have time to log-on to my favorite site. It’s alot of work but we are only a few meters from the beach on the Great Ocean Road,so the view is a bit distracting.I guess all jobs have there good and bad days even ours.Looking forward to learning alot more from this site.:)

    Hi all,

My name is Jason, live in Sydney. My situation may be bit different but we are all common in search for Fiancial Freedom. I just finished my dinner with wife alone at a Chinese Restaurant, it’s been long time since last. I am going to be a father of two next month. It will then be extramely busy, I will be the only bread winner.

It’s bored been an accountant, i did Bcom at Macquarie Uni. Although I’ve got my CPA this year, it doesn’t provide any help to step up the corporate ladder in a corporation with so much ‘Politics’. I can ONLY see other people’s back up the ladder. Can not afford resign and to star property investment as starter/learner as we do not have much savings.

I am problely the first person bought Steve’s book on the day after Channel 7 Today Tonight’s report and have finished reading. Then I started doing the research. But such high property in Sydney and any area within 150km around makes it impossible to find any property that fit 11 second rule. Can not afford moving to another state or driving to far more Western NSW to resear for a deal, I am wandering what I can do to make it start.

Can anyone help ? Is there any successful/experiened Property Investor could share your experience ?

Very much appreciated. And thank you for your time for reading my story.[?]

    Hi Super Ted

I like the way you think. What’s the IT industry like in Melbourne re:Support. I’m moving down from the ACT and hoping to get into IP’s. When you say you’re a trader, is that in IP’s. What is your trade? I’m hoping to offer my labor cheap, as in free to work with some tradesman to get an idea about house Reno’s. What do you think?

    Hi all,
Its been great to learn what all these people giving me advice do. I am a school teacher but as I have 4 children i only work casual, My husband is a coal miner. We are in the older age bracket of people on this forum (Ian is 48 and I am 39) and it is great to see so many people who are prepared, at an early age, to do something about the future.(enough of the mum talk)We have 5IPs and by the end of next week we should have 11 IPs Our children are 12, 8, 7, and 3 years old and are at an age where we can now focus on our future again, which is why we have again begun in the property market. School time is when much of oru research is done. Mainly on the net as we are geographicly isolated.
This is a great forum as it has enabled us to be in contact with people who are interested in property.
    Thanks.
If anyone is in the Mackay area and are interested in communicating you can contact us at [email protected]

Hi everyone..this is my first post on this forum, though I’ve been following posts in here on and off for the past two weeks now [:)]

I just turned 21 and have been working for about 8 months after graduating. In IT but I’m already starting to think about changing careers…I want to know what I want to do with my life but right now I have absolutely no idea..does anybody else feel the same way?

All I do know is that I want to invest wisely. It’s never too early to start. I invest in shares but looking to invest in an IP soon, doing research atm.

I trade mainly Options and some shares not IP’s. I dont live in Melbourne but imagine IT in Melbourne would probably be worse then Sydney.

As a former tradesman i always employed tried to employ workers/apprentices that were reliable and keen. Dont work for free, offer to work the first week for free so they can see what you are like (hit em up for lunch though ;-) then they may put you on fulltime.

Yeah, I am a Chemical Engineer,Australian Citizen, travelling around the world for employment. Have been almost everywhere, and very satisfied.

Just got latched on to this site and cannot understand why I did not start to do investing before.

Just finding out more details on tax implications etc for investing there with the savings I can afford to send in there.

    Ideas or advice anyone ?

    Ash

I think most of us are part time investors, so your job may bring in cashflow to help further investing.

I would like to know what you do for a living, that’s all.

    I’m in IT.

    Hey Chantell,
I work for Worley, a consulting company in Adelaide. There is an office in Melbourne if you are not keen to travel but check out the site http://www.worley.com.au and there is a graduates page on there with info of how to apply for vac work. I think that most application closing dates have been sorry! Maybe give it a try anyway.

    Cheers,

    Wilko

PS So happy to know there are other Chem. Eng’s on this forum!!

    This is a great thread!

I have to confess that my life pre-mortgage broker was as a Process & Environmental Engineer with Orica (dulux, selleys etc – I was in pesticides), went to UQ – tops Uni, and I KNOW the Lions will win this year (again) because they simply outclass everyone else!! Carlton who?

Home Loan Connexion’s office is next to the mighty Justin Leppitch’s house – took it as a sign that was the best firm to join! [:D]
