Does anyone in Sydney have a recommendation for an aircon. installer? I’ve recently bought one at an auction site and now need someone to install it…. any help appreciated.
    Thanx

Brent it is important to specify what type of system you are talking about weather evaporative or split system etc as different people do both regards Lindsay

Thanx for your post Lindsay. Sorry, but it is a split system, reverse cycle 2.5hp aircon.

Maybe your asking in the wrong forums? Try an alternative forum which can be found on an australian search engine.

Why don’t you try your local Haryvey Norman? Just strike up a conversation with the sales bloke & then get a name. Otherwise, the good old Yellow pages may just be your answer.

hello, not wanting to be too synical, but does this mean that no-one in Syd knows of a good electrician? They will know of a aircond person. Maybe you could narow down the area? i know of a great one in Melbourne (who goes to all suburbs) – but i’m sure you aren’t interested in the flight costs! Good luck. Lynne

    Hi Brent,

Don’t you need a refrigeration mechanic? Why not just try your local newspaper. Shouldn’t be that hard.

    Hey aussierogue,

You’ve inspired me to jump on the bandwagon with my own century.

Also quite useless to poor Brent, apart from the suggestion to try an aircon shop – they may be happy to do the installation for you, even though you haven’t bought an aircon for them. It’s still money to be earned, after all.

    Cheers

Thanx for the posts guys (even if some were useless [:D] )
I thought I’d be better off checking the Y. pages or asking around but I thought I’d try here first anyway.
    Congrats on the centuries, guys.

    Hi Brent,

I can suggest you call Radoslav on 0408272887 for a good quality, quick and cheap installation of a reverse cycle air con. He installed a 3.5 HP at my parents place. I watched him do it and soon afterwards installed one myself at my place. Saved a few hundred dollars. Please do not attempt installing one yourself unless you are familiar with electric current calculations and other associated necessities.

If Radoslav can’t do it (he can be pretty busy), ANY PLACE that sells air cons HAS business cards of few installers.
