    Hi Steve,
    I would love to know the actual places, state city suburb, that people are writing from – it would give a much better perspective, if people are happy to provide this info can it be included in the forum?

    Included as part of each member’s profile, I think the option to list a town or suburb, even a state, is a good one. Are there any major problems or objections about it?

    Privacy is becoming more and more of an issue thesedays, so my preference would be to show only the State where people are posting from.

    This will be done shortly after the new forum goes live.

    An option to include region/suburb/town would be useful.

    I agree with McKnight.

    You never know who might sue McKnight for breach of privacy…

    As long as it’s optional and people know that it’s going in their public profile then they wouldn’t have a leg to stand on if they tried to sue. I really don’t see the harm in people seeing which major city you live in (e.g. Melbourne or Geelong) or region for those in the more rural areas.

    A completly optional alternative would be to create a new forum/topic, where users can write a bit about their investment background and basic information about themselves. E.g age, sex and location.
    This way no ones privacy is being breached and users get to share personal information about themselves which they would be quite happy for other users to know, and most importantly, no one gets sued!!

    Perhaps under profile…..with an OPTIONAL extra that allows you to post what you want…carrying a warning NOT to post your details like your street address and all that……that way its choice? (dont forget to include the check box that asks DO YOU WANT TO BE PART OF PINKYS SEMI NAKED MALE SLAVE CLUB…with only a YES option!! hahahahaha)

    Lets face it tho steve…..you cant make all of the people happy all of the time…..LOL
