Just wondering how the star system works?….Lots of talking means lots of stars? Property equals stars. Where do I find the star info

    Hey willrogers,

You got it in one – the more posts you make, the more stars you get. [:)]

They also change colour, and you get a different ‘forum rank’ as you make more posts.

I’m not sure whether it will still be around later this month when the new forum comes in – I guess we’ll just have to wait and see

Suppose it’s not too important, but what is difference between the colours? i.e how come some people with the approx same amount of posts can have different coloured stars? This is important to my P/I strategy lol.

Is it written anywhere, how many posts you have to post to get more/change colour stars? If not, does anyone know?

I know it is a bit juvenille… but i want more stars [:I]

    yeah

    *enthusiastically*

It must be Steve’s way of rewarding obsessive/compulsive internet-addicted geeks who spend waaay too much time online hanging with ‘virtual friends’ and shootin’ the breeze about property investing

    *shocked, looks as self*

especially good if you hardly know anyone in real life that can remotely relate to what you do, and even if you did, wouldn’t necessarily feel so able to be open about it as with an ‘as anonomous as you wanna be’ forum.

    i love you all

I bet you cant get “Administrator” or “Moderator” by heaps of posts.

Just curious, did Steve McKnight create this site ?

I see his name everywhere in here, I found this site after seeing Today Tonight.

    Hi All,

Here is my Guess for STARS..

Newbie = post 1-4 NO Star

    One Star = post 10 to 49

Two Golden Stars = post 50 to 109

Three Stars = post 110 to 499 Silver member

    Four GOLD Stars = post 500+ ( Terryw Only I guess [:)] )
“Administrator” or “Moderator” depending on other Moderator or Admin (Including Steve) and I think they do depending on your experience in answering forum topic not depends on number of post because one can have 200+ post just by asking questions.

    Cheers [8D]

    Arty.

Stars don’t mean crap unless you can cash ’em in or uptrade. Who cares ?

The important thing is that we might learn from one another, be able to contribute or take a thought and expand upon it.

Then you can give yourself as many stars as you want.

Anyone want to rent a star ?

    Kind regards, Phil

    Well put Phil……

Administrator….. someone who works the behind the scenes magic of PI.com (and or works for/with Steve/Dave)

Moderator……someone asked to help moderate the site. Varying experience but (hopefully) right attitude in wanting to help others and keep the site clear of trouble.

In reality we are all here to learn. I enjoy the time I spend on the site and am encouraged to see people grow. As the quote says “We cannot hold a torch to light another’s path without brightening our own.”
    -Ben Sweetland

And in answer to your question Arty…yes Steve and Dave created this site for property enthusiasts (thanks lads!!)

    Enjoy

    Well said Andrew,

We all owe a great thanks to Steve and Dave for creating the site. And also to all of the moderators who do an excellent job.

    thanks,

    Rod.
