Has anyone here had any experience or knowledge of investing in retirement units.

My searching has revealed several potentially cash flow retirement units. i.e 4 units costing $300,000 in total that return $600 per week.

    Is there a catch?

What are the management charges usually like? Are there usually other fees such as body corporate fees?

I notice that there are quite a few comunal areas such as games room, dining areas etc.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Check all outgoings and maintenance very carefully, they tend to be quite high, especially if a lot of common area and because ret.units always have to offer a lot and look good., how liquid is it if you want to at any stage resell?
