I currently searching for an investment property on the western outskirts of Melbourne but am finsing it difficult to gain local knowledge on the area that is not tainted by the aagents wish to sell me a property. I have looked a fair bit on the internet but tend only to find general information. Any suggestions on where to start looking for some solid information, any help would be greatly appreciated,
    sincerly

    Hi Carl,

    Thanks for your question.

When I started I found that the local council had demographic data about the region to attract investment.

Perhaps a call to them (or check out their website?) might yield excellent results?

    Cheers,

    Steve McKnight

    Steve,
Thanks for the suggestion, I had never really considered using the council as a source of information for my investing, it seems like good sense to me…
