Today’s Steveism is really good advice if you find yourself stuck in a rut:

If you want something, do something.

My mentor Brendan Nichols rightly says that the enemy of a great life is a good life. Or, as I like to say, comfort breeds complacency.

The opportunity of a lifetime won’t come knocking on your door. Nor will it leave a calling card if you’re not home. If you want something new, you have to do something new.

Are you stuck in a rut at the moment? Watching this video will help:

A commonly used definition of insanity is this: doing the same thing over and over and expecting the results to change. How are you acting insanely at the moment, evidenced by repetitive behaviours that result in unwanted consequences – like going to work each day to a job you don’t like? Such insanity is a mental prison that you lock yourself into and voluntarily throw away the key.

How is your present physical comfort perhaps resulting in financial complacency? If you’re feeling courageous, share your answer to help others by leaving a comment below.

Until next time, remember that success comes from doing things differently.

Thanks Steve for another great advice.

From time to time, I am guilty of NOT doing anything but expect something would happen.

Your regular Steve-isms often remind me of the danger of procrastination. This has been a road block to my investing journey!!!
