    Love is a funny thing.
Sometimes you can be sexually/physically attracted to someone and yet the more you get to know them, if the lantern is not lit from the inside, their beauty as a whole quickly fadess. Then you can meet someone who you can’t possibly imagine in being in a relationship with. However the more you get to know of them, their lantern gets brighter and brighter. Before you know it, YOU’RE IN LOVE!
It’s true, it happened to me.
    Cheers Gatsby!
NP. However the one before her was a shocker! She fell off the biggest ugly tree in the world and hit every bloody branch on the way down!

Actually, sorry. I didn’t mean to offend any women on this site with my last comment. That was a bit below the belt (and belive me, she wore one, black I think it was?). I meant to refer to my last girlfriend. Her idea when we mentioned foreplay was ‘brace yourself!’
    Cheers,
    Gatsby!

Having a real giggle and sigh at all your stories!

I met my better half over the phone. We worked for the same company but at different sites. We would have to speak up to 20 times a day on the phone, or sometimes more! So within a week I made my first non-work related phone call (from work of course) and we became great friends (over the phone) from there on in. We did not meet until about 4 months later, and did not become an item until almost a year after that first phone call. Always knew he was special, just didn’t know quite how special (just as you were saying Gatsby), until one day when it dawned on me… hmm, he was pissed and we were out the back of a pub, and he told me that he “could so easily” love me. I got the gist and he has learnt to say it these days… [biggrin] I decided then it was about time to admit up to it that I was smitten too. Everyone else had been saying it all along of course!! Couldn’t be happier now, and isn’t that something to smile about? Love him to bits. [inlove]

I reckon you could sell that story to Universal Studios, Madonna (complete with head set) playing ALI and Russel Crowe( has had so much practice being pissed) as Hubby

    Sheer politeness & manners!
I met the (now) wife on the back deck of a dive boat in Qld. My first day of work, I showed up early to see a girl (with huge attributes!!) appear from a hatch in the deck, she was wearing only a T-shirt. The first words she uttered to me were “What the f#¤%&@g hell are you doing here?”. I was bowled over! Charm, finess & style all in one package!
After a week on the boat I went into town and relieved girlfriend of any further duties (in a kind manner) and asked “the charmer” on a date. We have since lived in th UK for 3 years, moved to Oz to be near her family, got married & produced 2 perfect (i really mean perfect) kids. This all started 11 years ago next month.
Be warned – all of you – “the one” can appear in the most surprising/odd situations. Nobody is safe. LOL

    Regards

    Patrick
