    hi all,
I’m about to try a new piece of software called
“Property Investor” by mannacom, it is supposed to be full management software and also a simulator….will fill you in as I learn more.
It’s available from Harvey Norman for about $100.00….

if you think you can, you can, if you think you cant, you cant, whatever you think, your right!

If you have Acrobat, then I would expect you could create a PDF and e-mail the PDF.

    Ez-rent,

Great to see you on this forum!

Here is my problem installing your program on Win95B.

    1. The file is opened for installation. It goes through nearly the whole process. Then just near the end I get the following message/dialogue box:

“An error occurred while registering the file C:WINDOWSSYSTEMmsxml3.dll”
    Abort/Retry/Ignore buttons.

I hit retry several times & still get the same message. SO I hit Ignore & it finishes the installations & tells me it was done successfully.

    2. I go to open Ez-Rent in the Start menu, & get the splash screen then the following dialogue box:

    “Run-time error ‘429’:
    ActiveX component can’t create object.”
    OK button

Would love to run your program. But might have to wait until I get my new laptop – unless you have a solution…..[;)]

    OzpatinQ8,

Could you please email it to [email protected]

Thanks. I hope t doesn’t exceed my email quota. Otherwise do you have a website or ftp directory you could upload it to for download?

    Cheers,

    David Paxton

That error is almost always related to your web browser as I trhink this file depends on a certain version. Are you running the latest version of Internet Explorer?

Not specifically a property investing program, but we are about to purchase this one:
    http://www.mortgagewatchdog.com.au/default.htm
Basically will tell you how much the banks are ripping you off. Cost $200 and has a $300 money back guarantee if you can’t find any overcharging by the bank.[:D]

We are wondering about getting Rick Ottons Wrap Pack. Has anyone tried this? I tend to be a bit suss about so called property investors who seem to be making more money off their product selling than off their actual properties. [xx(] Don’t mind paying a few hundred dollars for the right advise but once it gets into the thousands I get a bit sceptical. Does anyone know of any good Wrap software? [8)] Basically we want all the legal forms etc. We already have a wrapee ready to go. Just got to find a property and a good accountant.

    Hi There

I purchased the WrapPack some time ago and the best part of it for me has been the $50 financial calculator. Basically you need to spend more after shelling out the $2000, there was an enclosed letter from a WA based solicitor named Jeremy Malcolm who specialises in the contracts required. You also need to obtain a credit providers licence, unsure of the cost.
To summarise, I wasted my money as I feel the strategy is less viable now with even easier crdit available, ie low docs, no deposit loans etc.

    Regards

    Clive

Destiny Solutions – Finsoft 5, excellent software, can caculate all the nitty gritty, and can give stamp duty prices and all relative caculations to most kinds of purchases.

You need to find out what version of Internet Explorer you are running…..You need to have at least IE 5.5 or later which will register all the necessary objects , then reinstall thew application again and it should all be sweet…..The easiest way to obtain the latest IE 5.5 or 6.0 is to buy a PC magazine and it will be on one of the cd’s provided…..

    Cheers

I also have Somers PIA software (just the personal version, think it was around the $200-$250 mark) and it does plenty for the average investor and I keep finding additonal things it does so am learning all the time.

Easy to play “what if” with it so you so yuo can try various scenarios.

    Good Luck.

to access the professional version of Somers PIA software, just download the crack so you can have access to the full version.

though i still prefer Destiny Solutions, best software out there i believe.

    cheers

In Sydney there is a solicitor called Cordato who has put a lot of work into wrapping contracts
and who from what I read is highly recommended on another website I frequent.

Rather than spending $ 2,000 on a set of contracts (most of which aren’t suitable for your particular type of real estate deal anyway) and which contracts probably have been prepared by someone like Cordato anyway why not let him (or someone like him if you are in another state) act for you and you will get the suitable contract
as part of the conveyancing ?

I actually saw him in his office and he quoted me conveyacing costs which are quite resonable.

Please note that I have no connection with the gentleman concerned.
